Not really part one, as I did the pants and tunics first, but the belt is the first thing I have photos of. The others will follow, I promise.
The belt is such a simple part but it can cost lots of trouble, I realised. The problem with the clone belt are the loops through which you pull the cord and the front piece that clips both ends of the cord together.
I bought a cord stopper for this part, but it didn't work out, as the cord is to big for the cord stopper.
A friend of mine found out what I have been looking for for such a long time. The solution is a bolo tie holder, which is also known as a necklace from western movies. I have already ordered one that should find its way to me this week or the next. Hopefully this one will be big enough to stop to work as the cord stopper.
In any case I started by buying leather that is 130 cm long and 7 cm wide. That leaves in my case enough space for making the cord loops and the big loop in the back.
Leather and leather cord, as well as the cord stopper that is to small for the cord, so just pretend that it is not in the photo...
