One of the problems with the chest armor was the indented box in the center.
As with all the other parts the edges and corners were rather soft and also the box was not deep enough for all the things that will be painted and glued into it...
Therefore a made a new box out of paper and cut the original box out of the chest. I hardened the new box with epoxy and glued it into the chest armor. Afterwards I put two or three layers over the new box from the inside to hold it in place.
I applied some epoxy and putty from the outside and then again...it was lots of sanding...
After some rounds of putty and sanding - finally finished - it looks like this... The second picture shows what it looked like before...
